What a wonderful way to escape being trapped in the city after the worst winter. The weather certainly agreed with our visit and we saw the sun shine for the first time in months! (not to mention the fact that I'm sitting on the porch without a coat and 60 degree temperatures!) This home is absolutely beautiful and the views are stunning! Basic Necessities was a fabulous restaurant and definitely a must visit. Thank you for welcoming our dog Toby and for the warm hospitality. We had a delightful stay in the Abiner Smoothie. Its cheery atmosphere welcomed us nightly and was also a gracious living space for our 10 month old. Fantastic experience! We have stayed in many European B&B's and this one ranks high on the list. Room decor was warm and inviting rustic charm, bathroom with huge jacuzzi, the bed was fantastic, (I'm a light sleeper and I slept very well) Plasma TV was a nice bonus! Staff and Leslie were so pleasant. Great dinner and breakfast, best coffee this side of the Mason-Dixon.We will return!

We came to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary.WOW what a special place. My husband surprised ms so I wondered why we'd need to drive 3 1/2 hours , but soon we were headed up the grand entry of this beautiful home. It was late and teh comfy bed welcomed us. The next day we took a drive and were mesmorized with the views. When we returned to The Mark Addy we were glad to be in its quiet peace. Dinner was Fabulous!! The owners worked tirelessly to ensure the 4 courses arrived at just the right time and were tasteful. We've really enjoyed our stay. This is our 4th and favorite B&B experience.

My fiance surprised me with a weekend at The Mark Addy for my birthday. This was my first B&B and it lived up to all my expectations plus more! The room was so cozy and we were able to crack the door and fall asleep to the sounds of chirping crickets. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and we loved the broiled grapefruit. We were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary and decided to stay and participate in the Wine Lovers Scavenger Hunt. Leslie planned the hunt perfectly. We went to 4 wineries and a brewery. We were able to find all the clues and still had time to shop and explore Crabtree falls. Thanks for a wonderful escape!

...Here for a mini vacation. Nearby Wineries were great. Aftom Mountain had great views from their new tasting room. Flying Fox - small but very knowledgable hostess. Veritas - great views also good wines. The Devils Backbone Brewing Company - great place to eat and drink great beer only 5 minutes away. Basic Necessities - small but great food and the best cappacino and dessert. Breakfasts at The Mark Addy Inn were great!

.... PERFECT decompression zone. We were so happy to receive a room that allowed our 2 1/2 year old daughter a separate, special place to sleep (the daybed alcove). The views from the room were unexpectedly unspoiled. Leslie did everything possible to make our stay comfortable including giving directions to child frienly hikes where we could cool off in the 100 degree heat. I could tell right away that The Mark Addy Inn would have the relaxing atmosphere we were looking for. While there we visited Hilltop Berry Farm, Vertas Winery, Waltons Mountain and Pauls Creek and ate at the Thai Mex II. Breakfast was perfect. We were not disappointed about anything!

Others we visited ****Pollak - view! *** Cardinal Point - free tasting for military and teachers ****Flying Fox - Good Reds ****Ciderworks - differentand inexpensive. Leslie and Rafi = excellent people. Fun to hang out with and made us feel at home - EXCELLENT food.
